You are welcome to come to De Nieuwe Schatkamer at De Nederlandsche Bank for a visit. Experience the exhibition independently using the audio tour. Play games, watch videos and learn all about money, the economy and the role of De Nederlandsche Bank. Let your mind wander as you view the collection of extraordinary coins and paper money from long ago and check out the works of modern art. You can also join guided tours, debates and other events. There is also space for quiet study, for reading the newspaper and for enjoying a refreshment.

Opening March 2025

De Nederlandsche Bank’s main building has been fully renovated. There used to be massive vaults full of gold and banknotes on the lower floors. The money and gold have been moved and soon the doors will be open to all. De Nieuwe Schatkamer will be open to the public starting in March 2025. You can check this site for all activities we will soon be offering. The tour booking tool for school groups is already available, and you can get a first impression of our money and art collections.
