Beats & Balance @ ADE

The Nieuwe Schatkamer is entirely dedicated to ADE Arts & Culture.

At 3:30 PM, we’ll dive into the themes of Universal Tongue—an impressive video installation by renowned artist Anouk Kruithof, recently added to DNB’s art collection. This dialogue explores how dance transcends boundaries and celebrates our shared humanity, diverse histories, and individual uniqueness.

At 4:00 PM, the program continues with the fascinating story behind Swiftonomics, featuring economist Rupal Patel, who reveals the impact of superstars on local and global economies. From rising hotel prices to boosts in GDP—superstar tours are no longer just concerts, but economic mega-events.

In the panel discussion that follows, we’ll explore:

  • The economic power of superstars like Taylor Swift
  • How live music transforms cities into temporary economic hotspots
  • The flip side of the superstar economy for smaller artists and local venues

After the program ends at 5:30 PM, you’re welcome to join us for drinks in the foyer.

In the evening at 8:00 PM, we present the documentary Studio 54—a fascinating look at the legendary New York nightclub where glamour, fame, and financial scandals collided.
Register here for the evening program.

Don’t miss this unique fusion of art, culture, and dialogue!

Anouk Kruithof’s artwork will be on display in DNB’s city garden on weekdays from October 22 to 28.
